During any average year, Morgoed Estates acquires many portfolios of ground rents and other assets all over the UK. While every house in every street has its own significance, sometimes we come across a property with cultural history. In January, we were very pleased to become the custodians of the freehold reversion to a number of maisonettes in an unassuming cul-de-sac off Deysbrook Lane, Croxteth, Liverpool. Avid soap fans will of course know this instantly as the site of cultural phenomenon, Brookside. Following 20 years hard service as actors’ accommodation for the cast of both Brookside and Hollyoaks, the maisonettes have joined the famous houses of Brookside Close in full time residential use.
